Big Boi Joins Modest Mouse on New Record
It seems indie superstars Modest Mouse have saved the best for last in their three-plus year process of composing their latest album. What will become the followup to their 2007 album We Were Dead Before This Ship Even Sank, has yet to find a release date; however some interesting news surfaced this week on what could be the greatest surprise of the Portland band’s sixth studio effort.
One-half of Atlanta rap group Outkast, also known as Big Boi, confirmed via Twitter on Wednesday his involvement with the band on their latest LP. While the possibility of this collaboration is purely juicy, there’s no certainty that Big Boi’s inclusion is recorded.
Born Antwan André Patton, the rapper has also participated in numerous projects as a producer, raising speculation as to his collaboration with Modest Mouse.
Until the Mouse is ready to drop their new album, all we can do is hope that Isaac Brock put Sir Lucious Left Foot behind the microphone on this one.
