Escape to New York Festival Scheduled August 5-7

July 8, 2011

A posh new addition to the Hamptons has come in the form of the “Escape to New York Festival,” which will host its inaugural celebration August 5-7th at the scenic Shinnecock Reservation near Southampton, New York.

This three-day music and arts festival will feature performances by Patti Smith, Of Montreal, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Best Coast, Chairlift, White Rabbits and many more! Numerous art installations will also be on location, curated by Winkel & Balktick.

The Escape to New York Festival is unlike any other, highlighted by its inclusion of lavish brunches and a new form of overnight stay known as "glamping."

As if the music wasn’t enough, the festival will also feature what is being touted as “the largest brunch on the East Coast,” with delicatessens catered by Silkstone, including many favorite dishes from the Lower East Side’s own The Fat Radish.

Need a place to stay?

Escape 2 NY offers something no other festival can claim.

It’s where glamor meets camping.

All attendees will have the option of purchasing sophisticated camping alternatives; craftily known as “glamping.” Complete with bell boys to tote heavy luggage, receptionists, shuttle services, exclusive bathrooms/showers and massages, you will be putting a new shameful spin on ‘roughing it.’

Weekend passes are available now for the reasonable cost of $275, with the option to purchase $100 one-day tickets still available.

Better hurry. The first 525 buyers of weekend passes receive free camping passes at one of two campgrounds at Westhampton Beach or Battle Row Campground.

Need more encouragement? Just watch this…
