Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Reunite for Final Show in Cleveland
Cleveland, Ohio was the birthplace of legendary rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and now, it will become its final resting place.
The group recently announced its intentions to reunite for a single performance at this year’s Ohio Homecoming, celebrating Cleveland’s 215th birthday. The event takes place at Port of Cleveland Dock 28 and 30, located directly behind the Cleveland Browns’ stadium.
In an interview with AllHipHop.com, Krayzie Bone showed some serious love for his city.
“Although I recently announced that I was parting ways with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, this year’s Cleveland, Ohio homecoming is a great opportunity for us to reunite, represent and give back to our hometown,” said Krayzie Bone. ““I love my city, it’s what shaped Bone’s character to become one of the worlds best selling Hip Hop groups of all time. Cleveland can expect us to deliver a totally live performance that will be remembered by all those that attend for the rest of our lives. And will be talked about by generations to come, flat out we rock out! Cleveland Rocks!”
The Ohio Homecoming celebration takes place Thursday, July 20th to Sunday, July 24th, with over 10,o00 attendees expected.
On April 14th, 2011, members Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone announced their intentions to split with the group, citing uncontrollable circumstances. The group’s 2010 album Uni5 was their first release featuring the entire lineup since their 2000 effort BTNHResurrection.
The reunion show follows a two year absence from the stage, as the five-piece have not performed together since 2000, when member Flesh-n-Bone was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment for assault with a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon in June 2000. He was released in July 2008.
Cheers Bone Thugs. It’s been real.
