Boots Electric Reveals First Music Video for “Boots Electric Theme”

August 27, 2011

Much like his work with Eagles of Death Metal, Jesse Hughes' solo work is a non-serious, new age Rolling Stones for horny listeners. "Brown Sugar" with chocloate syrup and lube.

Jesse “The Devil” Hughes, of Eagles of Death Metal fame, is lubing up for his debut solo release under the moniker Boots Electric. The devilish funk soldier carries the same electric soul and disco-infused dance boogies he crafted with EODM to his newest number, appropriately entitled the “Boots Electric Theme.” The track features supporting vocals by Brody Dalle of the Distillers.

The music video, which debuted yesterday on NME.com, is a 1970s styled porno throwback, with enough puns to pitch your tent.

The album, Honkey Kong, was co-written by talented keyboardist Money Mark, who has previously worked with the Beastie Boys. The record will be out via Dangerbird Records on September 20th.

In the meantime, you can download of the first single for free on the Boots Electric website, which is officially ‘coming out of the closet’ soon.
